As most of us have learned from experience, getting a good night’s sleep is so important. Sleep effects our physical and mental health which includes how we think, act and move. As we have said in the past, daily exercise is so important for our overall health but also heart health, mental health, etc. and we wouldn’t be able to exercise properly without getting enough sleep! We have gathered some helpful tips when it comes to getting a good night’s sleep:
Put away yours electronics an hour before bedtime, and turn phone on airplane mode to give yourself some time without EMFs (electromagnetic fields). See blog post from Vee’s Honey on why this is important!
Practice meditation or breathing exercises before bedtime to calm the nervous system
Don’t have any caffeinated beverages late in the day (they will keep you up!)
Try to get into bed at a reasonable time and set your alarm in the morning so you don’t oversleep! Getting into a healthy sleep schedule is super important, and many professionals say that the best time to sleep is when it’s dark out, which means going to bed on the early side and waking up early too!
Lack of sleep can effect skin health (collagen growth, hydration, etc.)
